Abstract

The "Publishing Magazine" continues its development by presenting its third issue, the second of 2015.

As our cover indicates, it has just been 350 years since the appearance of the first scientific journal: Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society. It appeared on March 6, 1665. Only a few months earlier, in January 1665, the Journal des Savants had appeared which had neither the history nor the impact of the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society.

Of course, at that time there were books and of course the Internet was not even dreamed of, but since then it was seen that there was a need that scientific research required updates, comments, one of a dynamic that the book could not offer , as a finished and more closed publication.

In other words, the need for communication has always been and will continue to be the reason for being scientific journals.
