Resumen

El objetivo de la investigación fue   analizar la influencia del liderazgo en la cultura organizacional y el efecto   que se deriva en la efectividad organizacional. En esta dirección investigativa se partió e del posible efecto mediador del liderazgo en la relación entre cultura organizacional y efectividad organizacional. Como pregunta básica de la investigación que se planteó se desprende: ¿Cómo influye el liderazgo en la relación entre cultura organizacional y la   efectividad organizacional?

La revisión realizada permitió caracterizar que investigar el posible efecto mediador del liderazgo   en la relación entre cultura organizacional y efectividad organizacional.es un tema importante en que se han reportado diferentes investigaciones pero en que aún se observan vací­os entre los que se encuentran: la necesidad de considerar el impacto de otros factores contextuales en relación con el análisis de la cultura organizacional, realizar estudios longitudinales que puedan considerar   la dinámica de la interacción entre los estilos de liderazgo y la cultura organizacional. En relación con la efectividad organizacional se hace necesario poder delimitar el posible defecto del liderazgo en indicadores de tipo financiero y no financiero. Aunque la mayor parte de los trabajos reportados   sobre esta temática son de tipo cuantitativo, el poder analizar casos de diferentes organizaciones y caracterizar los estilos de dirección en que cada una de ellas puede ser importante para determinar los estilos de dirección y culturas que caracterizan organizaciones exitosas.
