Resumen
El artículo tuvo como objetivo realizar una evaluación exploratoria de un posible instrumento de aplicación para obtener criterios en cuanto a las prioridades al momento de planificar recursos ambientales. El instrumento que se tomó en cuanta se basa en el criterio considerado por Glenn C. Blomquist, Newsome, and Brad Stone (2003). Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica que determinó los estudios fundamentales relacionados con la participación comunitaria en el manejo del presupuesto asignado a la gestión de los recursos naturales. Se diseñó un instrumento que intenta determinar como manejarían los ciudadanos una asignación presupuestaria adicional para mejorar la gestión de 10 factores que pueden afectar su calidad de vida y el manejo del medio ambiente. Los resultados preliminares obtenidos demostraron que se priorizó: mala calidad del agua de consumo, control de la contaminación vehicular y el control del riesgo a no fumadores. La limitación fundamental de los resultados viene dada por lo limitado de la muestra considerada, pero sugieren que debe investigarse la interacción de estos factores y de la relación de los mismos con otros tanto de tipo demográfico como cultural.
