Resumen
El objetivo de esta contribución fue analizar los distintos tipos de innovación. Para ello el trabajo se sustenta en una revisión bibliográfica realizada con información procedente del catálogo académico Scopus. Los principales resultados de la investigación apuntan a un notable incremento del interés por parte de la comunidad científica en cuanto a la innovación y sus manifestaciones y difusión. Las investigaciones relacionadas con los diversos tipos de innovación se centran en el área de la ciencia económicas y empresariales, fundamentalmente.
El trabajo conduce a la conclusión de que los activos intangibles se han convertido en los principales generadores de ingresos en la mayoría de las empresas, incluso si no se explotan por completo a su valor real. La clarificación de su papel en el sistema de creación de valor conduce a la conciencia de que necesitan una mejor estrategia en términos de organización y la necesidad de una gestión más agresiva de los recursos intangibles.
