Abstract

Este artí­culo se propuso como objetivo determinar posibles estrategias para el uso de Twitter en la Educación. Para ello se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en Scopus para la aparición de la palabra “Twitter” AND “education” en el titulo de los artí­culos.   La búsqueda correspondió en Scopus al término: ((TITLE(Twitter) AND TITLE(education)) AND PUBYEAR > 1999).   Se encontraron un total de 51 referencias durante el periodo 2008-2017. Con respecto a estas 51 referencias se analizó la distribución de las publicaciones por disciplinas, revistas cientí­ficas en que aparecieron los artí­culos y distribución de los artí­culos de acuerdo con el número de citas.

La distribución de las publicaciones sobre Twitter relacionadas con Educación se distribuye fundamentalmente en las disciplinas de Ciencias Sociales, Medicina y Enfermerí­a. Se determinaron los 10 artí­culos más citados. Se determinaron las  cinco formas básicas para el uso de Twitter en Educación y que son:

a)  Captura. Presentación al estudiante de objetos o escenas.

b)  Comunicación. Interacción con instructores y docentes.

c)  Colaboración. Interacción entre los miembros fijando revisiones y criterios.

d)  Organización de clases. Anuncios. Reflexiones y mensajes de los docentes.

e) Evaluación. Contacto para poder realizar actividades formativas.
