Abstract
We discuss, based on the first results of teaching a course for teachers to prepare them so that they can publish in indexed journals, that the term "state of art" is either misunderstood or poorly managed.
Define the “state of the art" on the research topic as a basic step is discussed.
The importance of this in the process of building new knowledge as essential in order to clarify the contribution of the article to publish step is analyzed.
An analysis of the occurrence of the term "state of the art" in Google Scholar, in the title of the article and for publications in 2014 are presented and compared with its counterpart in English "state of art
The English term "state of art" is not only much more used than its counterpart in Spanish, but mentioned much more, with an average of 0.91 citations per article.
These results confirm the experience gained in the first version of the developed course (RML Consultores, 2014).
