Abstract
Using Publish or Perish (Harzing, 2014) databases were prepared with the following search terms: “Gestión del Conocimeinto”: 1000 papers, “Modelos de Gestión del Conocimiento”: 18 papers, Knowledge Management: 1000 papers and Model of Knowledge Management: 221 papers
The papers were classified into clusters in relation to Knowledge Management and “Gestión del Conocimiento” based on the number of citations received by each allowing to classify items by their level of impact. The articles in english on Knowledge Management are on average 21 times more cited than those who are in Spanish, which is also reflected in an index h about 6 times higher.
It was determined that of the 18 articles in Spanish on Knowledge Management Models, 13 (72.2%) are related to the discussion of these models in universities or colleges, reflecting the lack of studies on applications of Knowledge Management Models in the business environment in the Hispanic world. In relation to a traditional search generally based on subjective criteria, the employed method allows to enter a qualitative analysis of a more efficient way.
