Publish academic books with our publishing house

Revista Publicando Publishing House (hereafter referred to as Publicando) is a collaborative publishing entity dedicated to producing academic, critical, innovative, and humanistic works.

The publishing house is registered in the United States and operates with two publishing imprints, two academic journals, and one philosophical-cultural magazine. It also engages in cultural entrepreneurship and social intervention activities, driven by the belief that access to knowledge is a priority in the 21st century. Initially based in Ecuador, Publicando is managed by an academic team comprising professors and researchers from various sectors and countries.

At Publicando, we believe that academic publishing is about maximizing the dissemination of research to benefit authors transparently and cost-effectively.

Book Publishing

We publish academic works in the following genres:

  • Scientific and technical literature
  • Essays

Once we receive original manuscripts, they are evaluated by experts in the respective field or genre. The review process may take up to 8 weeks. If we do not contact you within this time frame, it means the work has not been accepted.

Publicando will convene a panel of expert professors to evaluate the overall quality of the book.

If the work is approved for publication, the editing and revision process begins.

All manuscripts are edited, formatted, and promoted by professionals in the field.

All our digital publications are open access, increasing the potential reach and audience for the work. However, this model incurs production costs, which authors (individually, collectively, or institutionally) must cover.

Authors may opt to have their book printed in addition to digital publication. In such cases, we distribute the book in major global markets. Printed copies can be purchased through regular bookstore channels, often at prices significantly below average.

As a standard practice, we return approximately 30% of the proceeds from printed book sales to the author. The remaining profits support global distribution and indexing and are reinvested in the platform to help reduce costs for authors who wish to publish on an open-access platform.

We understand that authors benefit from having their work disseminated as quickly as possible. Once a book passes peer review and the final copy is provided, Publicando commits to publishing the book as soon as possible (usually within 2–4 months, depending on its length and complexity).

Submitting a Book Proposal

If you wish to submit a book proposal, please use our standard article submission system. Alternatively, you may email your proposal or direct inquiries to our Editor-in-Chief at editor@revistapublicando.org.

Book Processing Charges (BPCs)

Our business model follows a hybrid system where digital works are made open access, while printed works are marketed at affordable prices. Revenues from printed book sales are shared with the author(s).

For digital works published under a Creative Commons license (maximizing dissemination), we do not generate sales income. Therefore, books are published with processing charges similar to those used for journals, referred to as Book Processing Charges (BPCs).

Publicando’s costs are significantly lower than those of other publishers, especially considering that content becomes accessible and free upon digital release. We strive to keep BPCs as low as possible while maintaining excellent service for authors, study groups, and institutions.

Regardless of the packages offered below, feel free to contact us for customized publication services tailored to your financial situation.

Note: Package prices may vary depending on the word count of the book. Contact us for a precise estimate by providing information about the estimated word count, number of figures/tables, data/multimedia elements, required services, and whether the work is an edited volume or a monograph.
