Resumen

El estudio realizado se propuso analizar las tendencias en las investigaciones realizadas sobre el Marketing en PYMES. La investigación tuvo carácter exploratorio realizándose primeramente un estudio bibliográfico en Scopus, en relación con el marketing en PYMES. Se partió de una   búsqueda general para el término: SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) en el tí­tulo del documento, para el periodo 2010-2016- De este búsqueda se obtuvieron un total de 1356 documentos que se filtraron   para la aparición del término “Marketing” en el tí­tulo de los documentos delimitándose un total de 33 referencias.   Se realizó otra para la aparición del término “Marketing” en el tí­tulo del artí­culo y “SME” en las palabras claves que permitió determinar un total de 58 documentos.

La revisión bibliográfica realizada permitió precisar que las investigaciones sobre Marketing en PYMES pueden encontrarse tanto en revistas especializadas en Marketing como en otras del área de Emprendimiento   o relacionadas directamente con las PYMES. Los paí­ses que más publican al respecto son el Reino Unido, China y USA.

Se determinaron como lí­neas investigativas importantes:

a) Posibilidades del marketing en redes. Investigar las caracterí­sticas culturales que permitan o impidan el establecimiento de redes con la competencia o con los clientes es un problema de interés cientí­fico y práctico.

b) La gestión de marca en PYMES. Esta es un área poco explorada en las investigaciones sobre Marketing en PYMES La falta de estudios sobre el impacto de la cultura corporativa y las posibles estrategias para ello indican lí­neas de posible importancia.

c) Las caracterí­sticas de las empresas familiares y la posible diferenciación del marketing en estas.
