Methodology for Construction Management Decision Support System Design and Development

Many researches in Construction Management have been carried out to utilize Decision Support System (DSS) across the whole project management life cycle.  However, it is identified that there is no standard approach to design and develop DSS particularly involving multi criteria decision making problem. Hence, we presented consultDeSS to demonstrate the design and development of DSS. consultDeSS was influenced by Design Science Research Method (DSRM) and case study to design the prototype. We also use requirement analysis technique called Tropos and cloud technology to develop Fuzzy TOPSIS decision model. The application was developed rapidly and the usability towards the prototype was acceptable. The output yield from the development process can be applied to other related application in construction project management.
