A New Proposed Framework for Improving Foldable Golf Buggy Prototypes Quality Dimensions

Recent developments in mechanical design enable designers to focus on different segmented markets with different purposes in their designs. The suggested methodology in this project tries to consider comprehensive aspects of quality in order to redesign an innovative prototype in a way to become desirable for both producers and customers.

The aim of this thesis is redesigning the folding mechanism of the foldable golf vehicle, which is an innovative prototype in the UNSW laboratory, in order to redesign it for manufacturability, assembly, and all quality dimensions, excluding serviceability.

Also, Quality Function Deployment methodology is incorporated along with mechanical design activities; without regard to house 4 of Quality Function Deployment and production planning requirements.
